Urban Photography

Urban photography is a relatively new venture for me. I'm not talking about photographs of office blocks, train stations or busy roads, although you will find a lot of these photos in the gallery below. What I am talking about is something that is often referred to as street photography.

Street photography is all about capturing people in an urban environment, the interactions that go on and the general hustle and bustle that you just don't get anywhere else. Rural photography, in my view, is more about representing a calm and relaxed environment whereas this is the polar opposite.

I suppose it's a documentary version of people watching and, living right in the centre of a large city, I suppose I was bound to venture into this type of photography eventually!
